Mural on OHMATDYT Children’s Hospital

By integrating art therapy practices, Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital is transforming its space into an open-air gallery of modern Ukrainian art, reshaping the image of a children’s clinic as a place not of fear and anxiety, but of healing, hope, and scientific wonder.
We painted Building No. 15 at Ohmatdyt — the Department of Infectious Diseases / Clinic for children living with HIV/AIDS — with a mural inspired by Maria Prymachenko’s imaginary beasts. In just one day, the monochrome facade turned into a Prymachenko-inspired scene beneath a deep blue summer sky, where a fairytale yellow tapir wanders through. The composition was shaped by the building’s architectural features, including its arch and round window.
